Jacob Pistner serves as Conservation Education Coordinator for the Keystone Elk Country Alliance, bringing more than a decade of experience in education, environmental stewardship, and public service to the role. Before joining KECA, he worked as a Resource Conservation Technician with the Elk County Conservation District, providing technical assistance and delivering environmental education programs. He previously spent 10 years teaching technology-focused subjects, including woodworking, engineering, computer graphics, video media, and construction systems, in the State College and Clearfield area school districts. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Science in K–12 Technology Education from California University of Pennsylvania. A published outdoor writer, he is the author of The North American Wild Turkey and Why I Don’t Have One and contributes the “On the Bucktail Trail” column to Evers and Elk Magazine. At KECA, Jacob oversees school outreach, public presentations, youth camps, distance-learning programs, and hands-on conservation experiences. He is passionate about helping people of all ages appreciate Pennsylvania’s wildlife, natural resources, and outdoor heritage while advancing KECA’s mission to conserve and enhance Pennsylvania’s Elk Country for future generations.
