Ben is the newly elected CEO/President of the Keystone Elk Country Alliance beginning in September 2026. For eight years previously, he successfully led the KECA Conservation Education Department. During this time, he developed lasting partnerships in conservation and established a strong rapport with KECA staff, members, volunteers and donors. Ben has over thirty years of experience in education and exhibits a vast amount of knowledge of Pennsylvania’s Elk Herd and the PA Elk Range. He is passionate about introducing others to PA’ s elk country and inspiring them to become advocates to ensure a positive future for the region. Ben is an energetic team player who believes in leading by example and is rooted in deep conservation values.
As CEO/President, Ben is responsible for providing programmatic, operational and fundraising leadership to KECA and management of the staff and operations at the Elk Country Visitor Center. He will continue to build relationships that will support and sustain the Keystone Elk Country Alliance and its mission “To Conserve and Enhance Pennsylvania’s Elk Country for Future Generations.” Ben is determined to lead the organization forward into its next chapter as the key spokesperson for KECA in its engagements with the local communities, legislators, partners, supporters and agencies.
Ben resides in St. Mary’s with his wife Tricia, and his children Ben and Anna. They enjoy spending time together outside hunting, hiking, camping, and fishing.
