In 2019, KECA’s Conservation Education Department proudly offered our first Summer Elk Camp and it was a huge success. Over 60 children ages 8-12 arrived at the Elk Country Visitor Center eager and excited for their day full of elk and outdoor activities. The day was filled with interactive activities like antler scoring, scavenger hunts, walking stick making, and a mock elk calf capture!
Since Summer Elk Camp was such a great hit last year, not only will we be hosting it again this year; we are having 2 opportunities for our one-day summer elk camp! Our first session is on July 22 from 9am-3pm and our second session is July 28 from 9am-3pm. $5 per child. Ages 8-12. Bring your own lunch. Snacks and water will be provided.
For more information about camp details, visit our website: ExperienceElkCountry.com. Due to COVID-19 and guidelines mandated by Governor Wolf, we will be striving to make these opportunities safe for all participants.
